While Sarah Ampersand has chosen to attend her family gathering, with her system in tow, Erik and his boyfriend Beau are sailing up and down the West Coast of the U.S. and they are both having a rough time of it.

Sarah must face her family's transphobia in it many shades and hues while trying to get to talk to her ailing grandmother alone.

And Erik's psychosis is acting up and interacting with his autistic needs at the worst possible time.

But the gifts that the Ktletaccete have brought with them, with the help of Phage (a.k.a. Mau) just might get them through their ordeals.
